PERMANECE
A publication dedicated to the timeless beauty of film analog photography.

Permanence is Visual XIV's film photography publication, founded in collaboration with photographer Henry Ivany. Created to celebrate analog photography, each issue showcases photographers from around the world whose work embraces the authenticity, patience, and permanence of film.
The publication reflects the enduring nature of photography and memory—capturing moments that outlive time and preserving stories through the timeless medium of film.
In an increasingly digital world, Permanece celebrates the deliberate process of analog photography. Each issue invites readers to slow down, appreciate craftsmanship, and experience photography as a lasting art form.
Who can submit?
Submissions are open to photographers of all experience levels—from students and hobbyists to working professionals. If you have a story to tell through film, we want to see it.
Film Only.
Permanence is dedicated exclusively to analog photography. We accept work created on 35mm, medium format, large format, instant film, and other traditional film processes. Digital photography is not accepted unless otherwise noted for a special project or collaboration.
Camera Format
There are no restrictions on the camera you use. Whether you shoot with a point-and-shoot, rangefinder, SLR, medium format, large format, or vintage camera, what matters most is the strength of your work and the story behind it.
Open Worldwide
We proudly accept submissions from photographers across the globe. Creativity knows no borders, and we're committed to showcasing diverse voices and perspectives from every corner of the world.
