A Visual Xiv Story

Visual XIV is an independently owned publishing house founded on September 14, 2018, by Creative Director and Editor-in-Chief Matt Vincent. What began as an independent publication has since evolved into a multidisciplinary publishing house. In 2023, Visual XIV expanded its vision with the launch of Permanece Magazine, a collaborative publication created alongside film photographer Henry Ivany.

The name Visual XIV, meaning Visual Fourteen, carries deep personal significance. The Roman numeral XIV represents the number 14, a tribute to Matt's late grandmother, Fidelia Palencia. Although born in different months, they shared the 14th as their birthday—Matt on June 14 and Fidelia on July 14. Following her passing shortly before the release of Visual XIV's inaugural issue, every publication has been dedicated to her memory, ensuring that her legacy continues through each edition.

Dedicated to championing artists, photographers, writers, and creatives, Visual XIV provides a platform for emerging and established voices to share their work, tell meaningful stories, and inspire a global creative community.
